BIOGRAPHY
Margaret Irving
Margaret Irving was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and was given
her first camera by her mother when she was twelve. She has been
taking photos and making drawings of people ever since.
She studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design for
black & white photography & photo development and at Durham
College for drawing, and at Toronto Image Works for computer graphics,
but is mainly (and proudly) a self taught artist.
Living in the Toronto area for more than 20 years, she has enjoyed
an artistic career working as a stained glass artist, photographer’s
representative, photo retoucher and portrait photographer. Moving
from portrait photography into painting portraits in the visually
exciting Pop Art style in the fall of 2004 she has found her niche.
Exhibiting work in galleries and coffee shops has brought commissioned
works and a portfolio of satisfied clients from coast to
coast. |
